Before working with Reuters, Mahtani headed up Bloomberg's UK television channel.

According to David Brain, president and CEO of Edelman Asia-Pacific, Mahtani will be tasked with helping the agency's teams and clients develop a content strategy for every media interaction and to ensure messages are maximised across all media channels.

Mahtani will also take a key role in expanding the firm’s financial services practice in Hong Kong, thanks to his background in financial media and the financial service industries. He started his career as a derivatives trader at NatWest Markets before moving into journalism.
