With the appointment of Ellis, David Fernandez, currently managing director of Reprise Media, will be leaving the business.

Reprise Media is the search and social media business arm of the Mediabrands Australia group.

“Reprise Media was one of the first specific brands we launched in Mediabrands’ Australia expansion program,” said Mediabrands executive chairman Henry Tajer.

Since then, he said, business opportunities for Reprise Media have accellerated and the agency is poised to develop as a search and performance-based business. "It is already the industry’s fastest growing search and social media specialist and we are looking to Ellis, its new leader, to capitalise on the opportunities that are clearly there for our clients," said Tajer.

Reprise has a national staff of about 40 people and its major clients include the Australian Federal Government, Hyundai, Kia and Target.
