Riches was most recently Singapore-based CEO and Asia-Pacific chief growth officer at Futurebrand. He joined the IPG company in 1999 as strategy director in Melbourne and later became managing director in Australia for six years.

The Leading Edge CEO Andy Bateman said, “Tim brings with him a wealth of experience in both his native Australia as well as many of the fast growing economies and cultures across Asia-Pacific that are so crucial to many of our client’s growth ambitions.

During his 12 years at Futurebrand, Riches worked on key clients including Yellow Pages, Unilever Ice-cream, Tourism Australia and Australia's bid for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.

"As well as being an experienced operator and business leader, Tim is also an energetic, fresh and challenging thinker – so he fits right in with our refreshed leadership team here,” added Bateman.

Riches is also a judge at this year's Asian Marketing Effectiveness Festival kicking off tomorrow in Shanghai.
