Digitas hires Wavemaker digital lead to drive its Hong Kong office

Fresh from winning the Cathay Pacific account this August, Digitas has restructured its Hong Kong business to align with the new client's strong focus on digital media.

Antony Yiu is going to join the agency on 8 October as managing director of Digitas Hong Kong, and will also have a Publicis Groupe Hong Kong role for business development.

"This is a critical time for us as we are going through a transformation to strengthen our team in Hong Kong, and to drive even stronger collaborations among our agencies," said Tom Kao, CEO of Publicis Groupe Hong Kong.

Yiu is replacing David Paysant, who was in the MD role for only one year. Paysant is better known as a retail activation and shopper marketing expert.

Prior to joining Digitas, Yiu was most recently head of digital, search and performance for Asia Pacific at Wavemaker, and spent time in both Singapore and Hong Kong.
