A spokesperson for Indofood denied this development but said ‘a decision was up to the board.’ It is unclear if the review is for a particular brand or straddles its stable of brands.

GroupM agency Maxus currently handles Indofood’s media, and its contract term ends this year.

Indofood is a major advertiser in Indonesia. In its annual report, the company stated that it plans to significantly increase advertising and promotional spending in 2013. The company’s key brands include Indomie, Supermi, Sarimi, Sakura, Chitato, Chiki, Indomilk and Kremer.
