The appointment is effective immediately and Kadir will report to Ben Poole, head of interaction, Asia-Pacific for MEC. He is tasked with developing the agency's mobile offering and upgrading staff skills.

Kadir was promoted to his current role from his previous position as director in Global Solutions. Before that, he ran MEC Singapore's digital operation for four years.

“We are already touching mobile in many areas of what we do today, from integrated mobile strategies, to implementation across display, search and content creation," commented Poole. "Last week’s Singapore Media Award mobile award win for Mercedes Benz is testament to Kadir’s ability in mobile."

On his new role, Kadir recognised the importance of integrating campaigns with mobile strategy. “We all know the pace at which digital media consumption has shifted as we continue our love affair with smartphones and tablets. So it’s crucial that from mobile strategy through to implementation and measurement, we integrate our campaigns for the benefit of our clients’ brands.
