It is understood that due to client conflict, incumbent media agency Maxus and its sister GroupM agencies will not be participating in this review.

Brendan Inns, vice-president of brand communication at Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts told Campaign Asia-Pacific that consulting agency R3 was managing the pitch and that a request for information had been sent out to the agency, but that agencies have not yet been selected for the pitch.

Inns expects a decision to be made in the fourth quarter of this year.

Earlier this year, Shangri-La appointed i-Prospect Hong Kong to handle its global SEM and SEO business.
