The WDA called a pitch for its media business in June, after handing ZenithOptimedia a two-year contract in February 2011.

The tender was issued for a media agency to provide services of media strategy, consultancy, planning and purchase for advertising space in local media channels.

Shirley Tan, director of corporate and marketing communications at WDA, said it is essential that it works in tandem with all three agencies to ensure the objectives of driving workforce development are met.

"....Appointing a panel of media agencies will help optimise WDA’s marketing and publicity efforts and outreach to a wide spectrum of target audience,” she said.

Prior to appointing ZenithOptimedia in 2011, the WDA had no media AOR and worked with different agencies on a project basis.
