Johnson joins Dubsat from Red Bee Media where she has worked for 14 years. Following her promotion to Western Australia (WA) state manager in 2005, Johnson was instrumental in launching live remote captioning - a first in the country offering access to deaf and hearing-impaired university students.
“With the switch of major Perth agencies such as Marketforce to Dubsat... we are delighted to have Johnson on the ground in Perth. Her solid relationships within the Perth advertising community are testament to her outstanding client service and management skills," said Grant Schuetrumpf, global CEO for Dubsat.
The new Perth office is viewed as a springboard for Dubsat's future growth plans which include growing Dubsat and Adsend int he local market as well as The Substation's captioning and DVD subtitling services, noted Johnson.
Dubsat was founded in 2000 as Australia's first digital delivery method for TV commercials. Its subsidiaries include Adsend, a display advertising management and distribution network for magazine and newspaper publishers and The Substation a closed caption and subtitling service.
