The Interpublic agency will also handle media planning and buying duties for Yves Saint Laurent, which was previously aligned with Dentsu.

The account includes planning and buying duties for all brands in L’Oréal’s consumer, luxury and professional divisions.
Universal McCann’s Asia-Pacific president Henry Tajer said the review was “the first time we have faced off against all of the three biggest Japanese agencies in a L’Oréal pitch.”

McCann Erickson handles the creative accounts for Nihon L’Oréal brands L’Oréal Paris and Maybelline. Fallon also handles some L'Oreal creative work and is thought to have been involved in the media pitch.
