Neil Trinidad, chief marketing officer at GCash Philippines, has once again made his mark on Campaign Asia Pacific's Power List for 2024, highlighting his instrumental role in steering the country's leading fintech platform towards gaining 90 million users and advancing financial inclusion across the Philippines.

Under Trinidad's direction, GCash has solidified its position as the Philippines’ top financial app. He has spearheaded several initiatives demonstrating GCash's commitment to democratising financial services. These include introducing features that cater to a diverse user base, such as enabling free overseas money transfers and integrating services like GStocks and GCrypto, enhancing both security and investment opportunities for Filipinos.

A highlight of Trinidad's tenure is his dedication to advancing LGBTQIA+ rights through GCash's platform. The ‘Werk With Pride’ initiative included policies and products to empower queer folk, both in its consumer base as well as employees. For instance, queer employees—regardless of gender and marital status—are entitled to life-partner benefits.

Trinidad's efforts have been reflected in the app’s widespread usage and the trust it has garnered, evidenced by its exceptional 92% net promoter score and endearment ratings. GCash's leadership in the e-wallet sector is undisputed, with monthly active users of 81 million surpassing those of major competitors and even leading ecommerce platforms.

Trinidad is also an active presence at major industry events like the Singapore Fintech Festival, where he showcased GCash's expanded capabilities internationally.  Speaking of international expansion, the brand is eyeing an impending IPO, one of the country’s biggest.

As GCash continues to innovate and lead in the fintech sector, Trinidad's leadership ensures that the platform remains at the forefront of the industry, driving financial inclusion and supporting community empowerment through technology.
