Similar to iGoogle, Google's personalised homepage service, the MyGovHK service allows users to access their registered and linked-up public services with one single username and password within the integrated platform on GovHK. Visitors do not need to register new usernames when they switch between the websites of different government departments.

They could also create a frequently used service list on their account which promises to make transactions and interaction with the government much easier.

Key features like 'My messages' provides a convenient channel for users to receive emails and reminders from government departments. 'My calendar' and 'My to-do List' allow users to view and set reminders for items relating to payment or applications.

"We developed MyGovHK with a view to provide a more user-friendly and personalised experience for the public to interact with the Government," said Joey Lam, deputy government chief information officer of OGCIO.

The official website of the HKSAR government was redesigned by Publicis Modem Hong Kong in April this year.
